I miss you already

Seems as if 17th June will be the last day i'll be in Singapore. 18th onwards i'm as good as gone... gone for a youth camp in Kota Tinggi till the 21st, then off to the US on 23rd at an unearthly hour at 6am. Guess nobody will be there to send me off at 5am plus eh? heh.

Though i'll be back on the 10th July, which in actual fact is 0040hrs on the 11th, it seems that my nomadic lifestyle has yet to come to an end... i believe my study in New Zealand will materialize soon and that means i'm off again, perhaps on the 15-16th of July... all the way to end of Dec. I'm looking forward to the change, yet i'm nervous, fearful and somewhat afraid of what i might encounter or experience there. Never been overseas for such a long period of time, plus being away from home, my comfort zone, my messy room which is in a perpetual war-like zone state, my computer & msn, my radio, my bed, argh the list goes on... but i guess that's the whole point of living overseas... you have to wean yourself off such conveniences and taken-for-granted aspects in your life to "grow up" and be more independent i suppose.

I'll probably miss the food as well. The weather? Hmm... well guess no sun-tanning for the next 6 months, so i'll be back to being a white chicken. Sheesh. Perhaps i'll miss the hang-out places that i go to... and i know i'll definitely miss speaking Singlish... haha, i mean, where else can u talk cock sing song like in Singapore? I must say that the only thing that is uniquely Singapore is Singlish. Everything else is just bull.

Guess most importantly, i'll miss family and friends. Sigh... yup, will miss you all. Heh, i make it sound like i'm going away for good. But hey, just what IF i stay on longer than 6 months right? I mean, the whole course is actually 2 years... Btw, for the uninformed, it's a Full Time Training School that i'm going to. To study and be equipped with God's word and learn courses in language, character, etc. It's something that i consecrated to go 5 years ago and i am pretty sure that it's the time to go now.

Just can't believe that from now till the 18th, i've got so much to do, but yet i don't seem to be doing anything. Argh. Need to pack, plan for the USA trip itinerary, prepare for the camp, settle the NZ school paperwork and visa and meet up with friends! Yup will miss you all back home... man i'm getting soppy and mushy like a soap opera...

Will try to keep this blog alive in the meantime. And lastly, in an attempt to redeem myself, i shall leave you with a rather profound quote... heh. As Master Yoda says, "Train yourself to let go of the things which you fear to lose most"... May the force be with us all... :)
